Hey,
I've decided that this summer ;D I want to make my first horror movie. my plot is this: In a small midwestern town a girl comes there for vacation, with a boyfriend, his best friend and her girlfriend, also the first girls disabled brother came along. They end up attacked by a chainsaw weilding maniac who holds a deadly secret. I think locations won't be a problem and I plan on trying to get the help[ of people I know from drama club.
Anyway, I was woindering how I could make it seem new and scary (Takes place in 78) and I was wondering where I can find out about how to edit it. Thanks for help.

Ok I've decided that idea is too "texas chainsaw massacre. I have a few more ideas and I want YOU to vote for which one I should use to write my script !
option 1: A girl named Maria is going to the lake where her father died, the land will soon be sold and they want one last ngiht there. she's invited her bofriend, his best friend and her girlfriend. also Maria's bisabled brother to come along and inspect everything. they decide to camp for the nigh and have a bit of romance, of course they also drink to (They're all teenagers). then a creature rises from the waters and pickls off everyone! what's this creature and why is it there?
option 2: A girl goes on vacation in a small town where she is killed accidently by the teens in tow. then they cover it up, but it's not forgotten... three weeks later someone wearing a see through mask who looks like the girl killed gets revenge. is it a angry boyfriend, or family member or has the girl came to get revenge?
that's all I got so far, please tell me what you think, I need YOUR advice!

Option 2 is just 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' but without fishermen. Option 1 sounds like Chainsaw Massacre crossed with Creature from the Black Lagoon. I'd go with 1 but make it a bit more original, perhaps with a Bruce Springsteen theme song?

lol .. sorry dude, i thought you were making a joke. I decided to do a film about snakes and I'm ... um .. gonna put them on a plane! yeah ...
Hey, you know, I think the important thing is to pick a concept or script you like and start filming right away and have fun with it. I've read alot of books on how to direct, etc, but there's nothing like getting that experience.
