what's the best "base" material for liquid latex?

hello everyone. i'm wanting to make some wounds using liquid latex. i'm hoping that someone can please tell me what the best material is that i can use as a "base" to make these wounds off of the subjects, to apply at a later date using some spirit gum, and also, what material that would be best for strength to the wound, so that it can be removed, and reapplied many times over.

so basically what i'm looking for is a material that i can "build" a wound on top of using liquid latex, that is both very adhesive to the liquid latex, and also strong enough to use over and over again.
