[glow=red,2,300]SaW[/glow] is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was written beautifully and everything makes since. It's a movie that you cannot watch just once. It has gore, without going over-the-top; It has language without being extremely explixit; It's got stars too.,

i enjoyed saw 2 alot more, saw is pretty ace though, they've announced saw 3 haven't they?

Yep, Saw III is coming out in 2007. And Saw 4 and 5 have been semi-confirmed (the domains are owned to LGF)

I know Robinson liked it. I just watched Saw for the first time and it was in the new release section of blockbuster so I figured it was the 'unrated' version. I figured wrong!
My problem with the film is that it reminded me a bit too much of 'Se7en', which is a top notch film by anyone's standards(I dont know, maybe it's just me). In comparison, Saw seemed a bit cartoonish and campy ... which may have been the point. And when Elwes goes over the top at the end ... that just struck me as being funny. But it was colorful and alot of fun. Two guys being locked in a room for the full duration of the movie doesn't sound exciting but it was anything but boring.
I listened to the commentary a bit and heard the director saying 'I love horror, but this is suppose to be a thriller' ... I hate when that happens! I guess alot of folks wanting to break into the mainstream don't like to be slapped with the label of 'horror movie director' (true, labels suck) .. but it is a horror film. I thought so anyway.
