Hi Guys
New here and I need some input.
I am writing a short film that takes place in a mall. The mall has been abandoned since the discovery of an evil cult that had been sacrificing homeless and other vagrants in the area. A week before its demolition a group from the local college newspaper is granted access to the mall to write an exclusive story since it is the 1 year anniversary. Among them is the last remaining member of the cult, who is using the other members of the group (who all meet unfortunate ends) to finish what the original cult had started, unleashing some terrible evil into the world. In the end the cult member survives, and watches from a rooftop as the mall is destroyed, confident that the world will soon fall into shadow.
I am a little sketchy about some of the details, and am totally open to any ideas/suggestions you might have. I am also nervous there is to much “meat” here for a 10-12 minute movie, which I will be also directing and editing.
Thanks.
E

I agree, that's a big concept for a 10-12 minute movie. I think you'll do well if you keep your cast and your focus small, like dedicating most of the film to building back story and a sense of impending doom, then having someone killed at the end, as the "horrid revelation" that the cult is back in action!
Anyway, I hope it works out for you. Good luck!
