I can probably give you some help. Depends on the shot requirements.
Drop me a PM and we can discuss the specifics.

I've been busy expanding some of my 3D matte-painting techniques lately, so if anyone is needing some establishing shots, or an exotic location or historical scene, I might be able to help. Here's a look at what I'm working on at the moment. It's eventally going to be a WWII scene with vehicles and soldiers in the courtyard, right now it's about 50% done. And this is a low res wmv of the shot so far. queenmaryroad.com/Mattes/vcm_test_r.wmv

nice work AJ. the only thing that sticks out in my mind is the pile of snow i think it is to the right of the shot, looks kinda fake.. but other than that everything looks great and should come together good i think. -brandon

Yeah, the woodpile is too flat at the moment, I'll be adding a bit more geometry in there. Once the finished shot is edited into a sequence, it will be viewed quite differently, there will be vehicles and personnel in the courtyard, which will draw the eye away from any small problems.

For the most part I use photoshop and 3DS Max. Compositing is done in After Effects.
There are cheaper programs that could do the job though.

Well a lot depends on what you need Xander.
If you are just looking for a simulate dbullet impact, then that is straightforward enough, but if you are looking for a "cg stuntman" to actually create a shot of the actor being hit, then that is more complicated.
All things are possible, but a lot depends on how much time I have available for your project.

Yes, you can remove unwanted elements from most shots, again it all depends on the specific shot and the skills of your post effects guy Digital manipulations using After Effects, or even simply cut-n-paste in Photoshop or Windows Paint, on a frame by frame basis, could cover up problem elements. Obviously it is easier to repair problems on a static, locked-off shot, than on a wild hand-held sequence, but the magic of working in digital can allow you to rescue footage that would otherwise have required a total reshoot.

Hey AJ awesome truly awesome work. I loved it. Hey I've got my new short film I will be filming soon. "The Note 2" is the name of it. I was wanting for the titles like show the words "The Note" then have the "2" flair up like they did in Scream 3. But i can't afford adobe. Think you could do it.
