Colorizing B&W movies

I recently picked up the newly colorized DVD of Night of the Living Dead, and thought it was not too bad, very interesting to watch in "color". I think colorization is pretty cool, even though it is scorned by many "purists". The NOTLD DVD also features a restored B&W version as well as the colorized version. Just wondering if anybody here has opions on colorizing old B&W movies. The same company that did NOTLD also has a colorized Carnival of Souls coming out soon too!

One would have to wonder how far you would take it. First colorization then adding new FX then cuting scenes, new soundtrack etc etc. Some would argue why mess with a classic.
