Anyone gonna watch this? I saw a few of the origianl episodes and I thought it was very insightful on how bif studios work, pretty interesting. I didn't get the chance to see the completed film, I know they ultimately changed the title. So they are doing a horror film this time around and Wes Craven is somehow involved.

i watched this last night and got suckered into thinking Gulagher was an average joe. It turns out his father is Clu Gulager (does anyone remember what tv show that guy used to be in? I'm drawing a blank) so he has connections with Hollywood and was probably able to put together a decent looking short because he had professional equipment.

his dad was in Return Of The Living Dead 1+2
i watch the show, cause hes a dufus... the movie will fail and his directing job will go down the tubes. they cant get the script right and goulager (how do you spell his name?) cant complete a sentence and wants his family in the whole movie... im addicted to this show to say the least ;D

That's what he was in!!! Return of the Living Dead! I forgot about that. Yeah, I don't know what to make of Gulager. Is this an act? what an a$$! I looked Feast up on IMDB and it has Gulager listed as the director but all that is subject to change, or so I've been told. He may get the ax yet.

as much as i agree with everyone involving his difficulties as a communicator, the guy obviously has a talent in there that enough of them saw to give him the job. it's quite possible that when he gets to the shoot he pulls together some good stuff. he's obviously very internal and probably works things out in his head and probably feels more able to do that when he has a support system around him.
plus, i really like seeing the really sweet shy guy get the shot. he's obviously the "broke showbiz guy" and to see him taking care of his family like that, there should be MORE people like him in hollywood.

yea i have been watching and he does have problems and needs to give up on the famliy bit or next episode he may just be fired. but i do think as far as skills he has the most of the other 2. both would of just been yes men and most likely the movie would just go down the toliet . add to the fact they have little money for big monsters they picked the wrong script for the money they had for sure. add to the fact the people the casting person wants are not right for the parts but the studio will pick who they want anyway. john needs to fix his attutude. or find someone else .and i hope wes gets involved quick to help save the sinking ship that it looks like so far.

Yeah, I've been a fan of the show ever since it was on HBO. I think that Gulager was the best director of the final three definatley. I also think if they would leave him the hell alone they would get a better film in the end. But I can understand the studios point of view also..gotta make money.

it's definitely tough not knowing the script, but knowing that gulager's got this great dark tone, i think his brother and wife put in great, understated, far more realistic audiotions than bunch of new dawson's OC prettyboys.

Ive actually changed my mind on Gulager, I enjoy wathicng him make the studios guys sweat! Kind of funny. Anyway, Clu made a good point about Hollywood showing favortism to relatives in the biz but he's really got to ease up on his demands and try to at least talk to someone instead of just shutting himself out. I guess I'm kind of frustrated with him because I am pulling for him .

i think that casting director deserves to rot in the tenth level of hell. for someone who sat through a bunch of episodes talking about how unfair John was being in the casting process it's downright hypocritical of her to further a friend of hers when, just like with John, nobody wanted to see this girl in the movie. to flat out go right behind everyone's back and then be smug about it. GRR!
and this woman's excuse for doing everything is, "well he's just a contest winner, he has no idea how to make a movie." that gets me so riled up. it's not like he won a raffle, he did something she obviously can't. HE MADE MOVIES. with NO money. he had to beat out a whole lot of people to prove himself.
i want to see her head shaved

I think they switched it to Thursday nights because they didn't want to be back to back with Queer Eye For The Straight Guy. Just what I heard, could be wrong tho. Dusty + Rottwieler Productions + www.projectdoomsday.com

I’ve actually missed every single episode. My life is crazy; I no longer stop to watch movies except the stuff I buy on eBay. I plan to buy this series when it comes out on DVD. Must be very interesting, especially since it’s a horror movie they are making and Wes Craven is involved.
