I figured out a good cheap method for eyeballs for use in puppets masks or popped out eye effects. supplies needed are small gumball machine bubble containers .25 each. acryllic paints which normally cost under a dollar. (red for bloodshot, black for pupil, and your choice for the iris.) Paint the pupil on the inside of bubble first (this is easy because there is already a dot which is a perfect size for a pupil). Then paint the iris what ever color you want. then paint the rest of the eye white. after this all dries, take a needle or an exacto and scrape away lines of paint in the pattern of bloodshot eyes. when you finish that paint red over the part that where just scraped . when it dries you have a pretty cool looking eye. If it is a popped out eye add the appropriate gore with latex and toilet paper build up and maybe some cotten string. paint it gorey like and it makes a convincing and very CHEAP popped out eye. you could probably make 15 pairs for under $10. Pretty useful for homemade creatures. You can even backlight them with LEDs for really creepy glowing eyes.
