INVISIBILITY DIGITAL EFFECTS.

Hey dudes. I want to do effects like they did in hollow man. basically just invisibility. but i need to know how to get a chroma key green spandex suit with a hood too. it has to cover the entire body. so i can key it out with after effects. does anybody have any ideas where i can get the suit for cheap? maybe a dance store? because they wear spandex but it needs to be chroma green.

I would try a dance store of some sort. They usually carry spandex for the whole body like that. You could make your own if you can find a place that sells spandex material.

With the hood, you could buy a smaller suit and cut a piece of it out and make a hood (like the arm of the suit).

If you cant find a green suit buy a white one and then go get some green clothing dye from Wal-Mart or another department store and dye it.

THe really cool thing about chroma key is that it can be any color. Blue and green are the standards used for chroma, because they are easiest, and don't appear that often in scenes. SMPTE made Chroma Blue, and Chroma green the standards.

But any solid color can be chroma keyed out.

To make it simple. I WOULD NOT USE CHROMA. I'd use the luminance chanel. That means you would use black. It will be simple to find black stretchy cloths. You could use part of a leg to fit over the head. This is the cheapest way to do this. It will work excellent in After Effects.
