Could anyone recommend some good/cheep casting materials. I'll be casting feet, hands, a head, and a torso. I've been using Alja-Safe and Ecoflex from Smooth On for the feet and the hands, but that stuff can get expensive.

Alginate is definatly the way to go. it is very affordable. There is also a product called body double. it is silicone and it is great if you have to make mulitple castings. you can reuse it without losing any detail. as for the alginate it is only good for one casting.
