Myers in the original film was only 6 feet tall. So yes, I think you can pass him as a successful Myers, be sure you have a good-looking mask, though. They aren't cheap, but you can find a good one, I did. Also, you can try shooting at a lower, waist-high angle rather than from shoulder height. That makes the villain, or whoever it is, look bigger and more menacing. Remember, perspective is key. Good luck and do share when you're done. I'm planning on sharing mine for Halloween later this year...

I bought a killer mask from Frightcatalog.com. They have some awesome looking Michael masks. Check that place out. It was 65 bucks shipping and all. My actor is 5'9 so I know what you are going through lol.

Do they shed any light on how they made the hobbits look small on any of the LOTR dvds?
d**n .. 65 dollars for a Bill Shatner mask!

Yes they do.
Basically, they shot the hobbits seperately and added them into the shots with the 'full size' actors.
For some of the sequences (like the inside of bilbos house) they used two sets, one for the 'hobbits' and one for 'gandalf' so that he could appear to be squeezed into the location.
It's a great dvd set, I highly recommend buying it if you are interested in sfx.
