yo! i watched Bad Taste (peter jackson) and i must say, i enjoyed it verily! hilariously gruesome and brilliantly lacking in storyline...well ok there IS a storyline, and it's so very amusing, but most of the films just action packed gore on some australian/kiwi patch of land! derek is a complete psycho who freaked me out, especially at the end!! oh the horror hilarity! xxxx

As soon as i saw 'Bad Taste' i fell in love and i have admired Peter Jacksons work ever since especially 'Braindead' and 'Meet the Feebles'. Bad Taste took 4 years to make but pete worked really hard to get where he is now.

yeah bad taste is a perfect example of working hard - very, very, hard - on a low budget to create an awesome film. I admired Braindead for the amount of gore, but Bad taste was a more rounded film. I've yet to see Meet The Feebles. But now Pete's gone all swords and shire on us....

Yeah it sux now he has gone mainstream but at least we have bad taste, braindead, and meet the feebles to look back on. You'll like meet the feebles, it has gore,drugs,porn...everything! I read ages ago that the cast fom bad taste wanted to do a sequel but i highly doubt jackson will do it.

I wonder if they will ever remake Bad Taste lol... They should bring a four disc dvd out of each, bad taste, meet the feebles, and braindead.

I think you're asking for a lot if you want four DVDs from those films - any deleted scenes were deleted because they looked crap...and...er...well, that's it. I'm guessing that the behind-the-scenes footage would be pretty scarce, too. They just haven't made enough of a mainstream influence to have interviews or documentaries.

Bad Taste is a personal favorite of mine, which comes as little surpise as I'm also a great admirer of Jackson's films. Can't wait to see his version of King Kong!
I think Bad Taste is definitely inspiring for any indie filmmaker, horror or otherwise, and Jackson's cooky turns as Derek & Robert are hysterical!
I know many of us long to see Jackson return to his horror roots but from what I understand, though he definitely has an affinity for the genre, it was more of a means to an end for him than a life long path.
That said, I also looking forward to his upcoming film "The Lovely Bones", which seems like a return to the Heavenly Creatures Neighborhood, which is pretty exciting, imho.
