I saw 2001 maniacs with robert englund. It was a decent slapstick horror movie! It was enjoyable, a lot of blood etc. I was surprised to find out that the great Eli Roth(Hostel) produced it! For all who dont know what its about, it about teens are heading to florida for spring break and they take a "short" cut into the town of Pleasantvill(not sure if spelled right) they are the honored guest for the annual blood and guts festival, or should I say main course?

I got some problems with Roth myself but I enjoyed it inspite of his involvement with this film. Finally get to see Kane Hodder and Robert Englund in a film together. And really, when was the last time you saw Englund in a non-Freddy film that didn't suck? All in all, quite a cool and surprising film.

Not bad, but not stand out, imo. A fun way to spend a couple hours, though:)
For an older non-Freddy Englund role check out Killer Tongue with the incredible Mindy Clarke. Quirky as hell, and not without its flaws, but worth checking out.

Killer tongue? That's a new one on me. I really thought Mindy Clarke's involvment with the horror genre began and ended with Return III. I'm surprised her career never took off, either as a scream queen or film star. In terms of publicity- sadly- it seems the O.C. was the best thing to happen to her.
