*No spoiler*
The third installment in the ever so popular horror franchise delivers not one but two mindblowing plot twists at the end of the film. And much like the rest of the movie, the twists were in a sense OVERDONE. They were too elaborate. The movie covered every single angle left to the imagination in the past 2 movies and the film thinks for you. I hate that. Saw III was also the most graphic mainstream horror film ive seen in recent years. Yes, it surpassed Hostel. As a gore flick, it was excellent. As a suspense flick, not so much. As a horror flick overall, it was good. But the other two were so much better. A fourth installment in the soon to be "beaten-to-death" franchise is being released next Halloween. The game is yet again being resurrected. Who knows? Jigsaw may go down in history with the Michaels and the Jasons and the Freddys and the Chuckys of horror. But mark my words, after the fourth film we will all be shouting "No mas!" as they will most likely prepare a lineup of neverending sequels to one of the most brilliant horror films of our time. Saw is a classic. Saw II is classic. Saw III is an overdone yawnfest with a whole lot of gore. And anything else after that will be more torturous than Jigsaw's traps. "Suffering? You havent seen anything yet."

Saw is no classic! It was riddled with more plot-holes and flaws of logic than any movie I have seen in years. The second one was painful to sit through, and not because of the violence or brutality. I don't have much hope for the 3rd, but if it's just gore, as so many have told me, it may be slightly entertaining.

The Saw films seem to be predictable gore set-pieces held together by the most minimal of brain dead plots. Not too bad really, but people rave about these films like they're the most confrontational, aggressive, sick films ever produced but it's been done better before. Just my opinion though.

I'm definitely not a fan of the franchise by any stretch, but is it just me or are these recent additions actually bucking the usual trend of sequels and growing slightly better (than the original at least;) as they're churned out every year. III was certainly nothing to write home about, and not worth seeing in the theater, but more fun than I remember the first one being at any rate. Hmm...maybe, they've just worn me down... No, never I say! They shall never wear me down, NEVER!

The "twist" at the end of Saw 3 was a joke. I didn't like the first really. I felt #2 was an improvement just because I really enjoyed seeing Tobin Bell do his thing, but it was rather lame otherwise. Saw 3 felt like a chainsaw was giving me a blowjob.

The twist in Saw 4 will be "Suprise! Jigsaws alive!"
