Howdy! We have not put the site up yet -- but it is coming soon at TEXT. The movie has finally been completed after 3 years and every penny I have to my name. We used good equipment with a decent, hardworking cast and a few exotic locations. Would like to think it is a killer story too. Give our temp site a look and tell me what would you change to make it more interesting and get people to 'buy' our little movie? Thanks. E-mail me comments and suggestions? I am still trying to pic gallery stills carefully for intensity and heavenly/hellish design: www.hippywebdesign.com/wip/haunted_movie/index.php Jack Ripley

Not too bad of a site..i would consider changing the text to maybe a white or grey though...the red text on the reddish background makes it hard to read...one way to get people to buy the film is give themn a trailor to watch.....Give us a reason as to why?? we would want to buy a movie we know little about...
Secondly, send screenrs out to the review sites such as mine..thats our job to spread the word..there are several of us on here....cannibal cam, me heidi,,,,th elist goes on...

I note that it's only a temporary website, but I do think that you need to do a little more work before advertising it.
Right now there is nothing on there to sell your film, other than several statements about how bad the original was.
I wouldn't want to spend $20 of my hard earned cash on a so-bad-its-good movie.
I think it would be a good idea to rethink your marketing strategy on this one. Cut together a short, kick-ass trailer, put up a small gallery of quality location shots, stills or screen-grabs, make us desperate to see your film, sell it to us, don't keep going on about how bad the original was.
If you don't believe in your film, no-one else will, so the first thing to do (imo) is take down that website and work up something with a bit more pazazz!
Your cast look like a bunch of nice gals, and they certainly might improve the sex-appeal of your film if you present them in the right way. Your potential audience don't want to hear about why an actress wasn't right for the part, or wasn't experienced, they want to hear about why the cast was exactly right for their roles, about the groundbreaking script you wrote, about the incredible effects that you pulled off on a low budget etc. etc.
Just my $0.02 I'm sorry if the above seems harsh, but, seriously, you are looking to make money off this film, and I can't see it happening without a serious rethink of your marketing.

I agree with the trailer idea. Give us a taste, something to drool or shreik over.
Red text + Red background = 2 much red. Try a lighter color font. The bg image is great!
On the marketing side, instead of slamming your own first movie, give them different names. "haunt 1.0" and "haunt 1.0.1." Something along those lines. If you apologize for one movie, your customers will wonder why to buy the next one.
You have a fantastic concept site there. Keep at it, and it could do you a world of good.
