Can ANYONE help me? Ok, what I'm looking for is an easy to make blood pack. My actor is being strangled, and I wanted a blood pack to break in his hand while he's trying to pull away the rope. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Condom filled with blood. Inexpensive, easy to conceal (provided you don't go overboard on blood) and breaks easily.

...and while I'm on the topic...
Any good ideas on how to make a good garrotte? How about a 'working' one that pumps blood rather than squirting it from the neck? This way I can make due without using a pack. The 'strangler' could cause the blood to flow.
Thanks again!

You could try unraveling your rope and twisting it up again with a small tube in the middle. The tube should have many small holes poked into it facing the direction on the victims neck. Make sure to bung up one end with some hot glue.
Next attach a syringe to the other end and prime the tube so that the blood will flow trough all the holes, also fill the syringe with blood. When you are filming make sure the killer keeps his hand well out of camera view and he can start depressing the syringe pluger.
In Theory this should cause blood to flow from the rope onto the actors neck and drip down. Remeber not to add too much blood as being strangled with a rope really doesn't cause too much blood to flow if any, but then again this is a movie so you can take some licence.
