this was a special that aired on History channel and they breifly touched upon thw world of micro-budget movies. I thought it was pretty cool because I haven't seen any tv shows about this at all.
ALso, a friend of mine suggested I read a book by Andrew Harter called 'How I made a movie for 100 dollars'. It details this guy's efforts to make a film entitled 'Full Motion Blur' for as little money as he could.
