Tonight is when Koppel's Nightline will read the names of all American soldiers who were killed in action in Iraq. As most of you know, Sinclair group who are Republican friendly and gave contributions to the Bush admin. owns numerous ABC stations and are pulling this show from the air. They got the legal right to do that. They believe this is anti-war propaganda and Koppel isn't one to hide his political ties. I understand the argument against this but to go as far as to not air this show is a slap to the face. Very disrespectful I believe to the families, those who have given all and those who are overseas fighting. I believe everything McClaine said earlier this week. Besides, ABC may not have had an altruistic reason behind this show but it's easy to reduce the causalities of war to mere statistics. I don't think it's a bad thing no matter what your views are on the war to remember these were human beings with families and lives like the rest of us. Anyway, just wanted to get everyone's opinion on this.
