I was wondering if anyone here knew what type of camera they used to shoot Open Water with. I read about the movie and read some posts at the IMDB and several people said that it was shot on video. Than I watched the trailor and this movie looks awsome. The picture is very clear.

Hey, this is john. Lost my old password. Anyway, is this the Lion Gate movie with the two divers who are left behind in shark-infested waters? That's the real stuff of nightmares. I believe it's based on a true story as well.
Off the subject, but have you ever seen a Goblin Shark before? That thing is a real monster!

Could be any format, perhaps Digi-Beta or DVC, but you can bet that it wasn't shot on MiniDV if it looks that good ;D

Yeah, John, it is. This is the one with two divers lost in the ocean with no boat. The preview looks very creepy. I cant wait till it comes out.
And, no. I havent seen a Goblin Shark.
UPDATE: I did a Google Image search on the Goblin Shark. That is one scary looking fish!

Randy, I read in Fango that they shot it with a Sony PD (3-chip). Looks good too! Love the fact that they used real sharks....
