I'm currently in post production for my film BIOPHAGE. It's a 16mm B&W zombie film, shot in and around Pittsburgh. At the moment we're doing all the ADR to get the film in shape for foleying. Once that's done, we'll score it and send it out to the festivals. I have decent hopes for direct-to-video distribution. _______________________ www.biophagethemovie.com

Is that Brian from Frontline films? Ladies and Gents, the creator of MEAT MARKET!
What's up, Brian? Yeah we spoke a while back. I'd like to get with you to talk about distribution. E-mail me - your e-mail has changed and I don't have the new one.

I'm not sure about Troma distribution. Maybe as a last resort...
Here's some press on the film:
Attack of the Independent Cinema
writer: Phil Maciak
“I see not much difference between Mark Rapp and Curtis Hanson,” says Ron Marnich, a stand-in on Hanson’s locally filmed Wonder Boys and star of Rapp’s directorial debut, Biophage, which is currently wrapping locally. “If anything, he works harder: Mark has to wear 10 hats instead of the usual five a [Hollywood] director has to wear.” The comparisons to Wonder Boys stop right there. Rapp’s film, which he wrote himself, is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a virus threatens to destroy humanity. The virus changes people into zombie-like creatures, “phages,” who wander about, veins bulging, ostensibly ready to kill. But, assures Rapp, “it’s a character-driven story.” The idea of a budget horror movie initially spooked Marnich, Rapp reports. “I said, ‘Mark, I don’t know. These movies have been done before.’ But I was very impressed by Mark’s writing. There’s a very good balance between the action and the dialogue.” Rapp, a psychological counselor for adolescents at the Bradley Center in Oakmont, saved up his pay as well as money from taking part in medical experiments to finance the film, which will cost less than $100,000 when completed. It was filmed over two weeks this month, using Pittsburgh locations. “Everyone here is so accommodating,” says Rapp about the Pittsburghers he’s run into through the filming. “Whether it’s asking the guy up the street to shut his garage door, or asking, ‘Do you mind if we borrow this National Guard unit building?’” And many were anxious to become a part of it. “When you’re filming something that’s post-apocalyptic,” he says, “everyone wants to be in the shot.” Dixmont, an abandoned state mental hospital, was a key location in Biophage. “We had no electricity,” Marnich says. “The generator kept cutting out. We’ve got phages in the morgue, a body laying on the autopsy table. It was scary, but it became second nature. Just like any job.” According to Rapp, this was an unanticipated bonus. “A lot of the cast was creeped out of their minds,” he says. “It was great.”
