This year's Project Greenlight Contest, like last year's, will actually be two individual contests that run concurrently--a Screenplay Contest and Director Contest. Contestants may enter one or both contests.

We've made many changes and improvements to the contest format based on our experience from the first two contests, along with feedback from contestants and community members. Information about these changes, along with the Contest Timeline, Official Rules and other information regarding the contest are available on the site now.

For you screenwriters, we are looking for "genre" projects that have a powerful impact, like Horror or Thriller -- projects that really grab the audience's imagination and attention. Of course we will be open to considering other kinds of projects because we appreciate creativity and innovation, but we will lend extra weight to genre films.

For the directors, get together your best three-minute directing sample and see if you have what it takes to direct a feature film for Miramax.

LOL I posted the same thing in the writing section. I think the reason this year theyve decided to go for more of a horror/thriller is because the two previous films(Stolen Summer, Battle of Shakur Heights)didnt do well in the box office. Too bad i dont have Bravo, the first two seasons were pretty interesting to watch, seeing first time directors and writers work with professional crew and working with a major studio.

I watched the Battle of Shakur heights one, that was pretty cool. I like that Kid from that Nickelodeaon show, you know the one. he's a good actor

Yea i agree Shia LaBeouf seems to have a bright future. Shakur Heights was a pretty good movie but i thought the movie was bit short and lack some detail and story. Probably because it was originally a drama then ending up as a coming of age teen comedy during editing.
