"New Line and Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes production company are prepping a prequel to their recent remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Variety adds that the studio bested Dimension Films in a bidding war for the project which wound up costing New Line an additional $3 million.
The story, as Variety says, centers around "a group of sibling soldiers who cross paths with the chainsaw-wielding lead character."
