I've always wondered what people use to make human flesh/intestines/etc. for horror/zombie movies? Please people help me out!

WELL IT REALLY DEPENDS ON WHAT THE EFFECT INVOLVES,
YOU CAN USE LOADS OF DIFFERENT MATERIALS, PLAIN LATEX, POLYFOAM, FOAM LATEX, GELATINE, NOWADAYS THE MOST COMMON ONE USED IS SILICONE FOR BOTH PROSTHETICS AND PROPS,

ALSO FOR INTESTINS AND SUCH PEOPLE OFTEN JUST GO TO THE BUTCHER AND GET THE REAL THING, CAUSE IS EASIER AND YOU SAVE THE SCULPTING/ MOULDING PROCESS, I EVEN SAW FILLING UP SAUSAGE SKIN WITH SILICONE FOR DOING GUTS!,

I HAD TO IMPROVISE SOME GUTS ON SET ONCE AND I JUST DID IT BY USING A POLIFOAM SHEET AND CONTACT GLUE, BENDING IT AND GLUING IT INTO SHAPE, AFTERWARDS I PAINTED IT AND GAVE IT A COAT OF CLEAR BATHROOM SILICONE DISSOLVED WITH WHITE SPIRIT (TO MAKE IT MORE LIQUID) AND THAT GAVE IT A SHINING WET LOOK,

What do they use when a zombie is eating someones flesh or intestines?

BASICALY WHEN IT IS BITTING A CHUNK OF FLESH OUT OF A PERSON IS USUALLY A FOAM LATEX PROSTHETIC, PREPARED SO THAT THERE IS A LAYER OF PAINTED WOUND UNDERNEATH AND CONBINED WITH BLOOD PUMPING MECHANISM,

ALSO THEY CAN USE SILICONE OR GELATINE FOR IT,

DISGUSTINGLY ENOUGH WHEN ZOMBIES EAT INTESTINS AND ALL THAT MOST OF THE TIMES IS THE REAL THING, BUTCHERED PARTS BOILED AND MIXED WITH ARTIFICIAL BLOOD (NOTICE YOU RARELY SEE A ZOMBIE TRULLY SUALLOWING A BITE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO DO A REPLICA ON EADBLE GELATINE (INCLUDING SOME SUGAR ON IT TO MAKE IT MORE BAREABLE) I EATED A LOT IN ONE OF OF MY EARLY SHORTFILMS, (I WAS EATING MY OWN GUTS).

If you go to any supermarket, most will have this edible plastic casing thing, and you can fill it with jello and let it set, than, with blood made of corn syrup and food coloring, or some fake blood like that, you have completely edible intestines and blood (good taste isn't guaranteed though)

I made a rather good length of intestine out of cotton balls, latex and panty hose. I'll post a full tutorial as well as a video sample of them as soon as I can.
