Yup . not a horror film, but the teaser trailer is finally up and I have to say I think, or at least hope, this will be a fairly dark film (with Christian Bale as Bats). Really wasn't too impressed with the 90s series as a whole, even though the Burton films have a great look to them. seems like all the cute and camp stuff is gone.

i haven't seen any trailers of this new film, but i have faith in christopher nolan.
I think the first Batman was great, and they got worse as they progressed. Joel Schumacher just destroyed the whole image of Batman with cartoon noises and crappy one-liners in a film that obviously wasn't written to take itself seriously.

Shumaker .. i guess that's how you spell it- is a good director too. Just watch Tigerland. I personally hated the third film as much as I hated the fourth one. But you know ... I didn't really care much for the sequel that Burton directed either. First time I saw it I remember thinking there was kind of a post modern attitude like 'we're making a camp film and we know it!" but maybe this was just me.
