LeatherFace/Michael Myers' Masks

I'm making LeatherFace vs. Michael Myers: The Halloween Chainsaw Massacre. Does anyone know how to make eithers'?

Michael Myers is an off the shelf mask.

The leatherface mask is pretty easy too.

Make a plaster cast of the actors face.
Apply latex direct to it and allow each layer to dry.
Continue adding layers until it's fairly thick.
Paint it like a woman's makeup.
Peel it off BEFORE the latex can fully vulcanize/retain
it's original shape fully.
Now cut around the edges, use a very hot blow dryer
around the edges for that cut leathery look, as it'll
wrinkle up nicely.
Allow at least a day to hang and vulcanize.

Repeat about two to three times so you'll have several
layers of female faces to put on the acting talent.

Leatherface always appeared to be wearing more than
one face over his/hers/whatever.

You could buy their masks if you want to spend the money.

But its better to be creative and do your OWN style leatherface for your own film.

If I had to make both of those masks this is what I would do... get a few cheap halloween masks. mainly of people or semi human faces (like dracula or something). Cut sections out of each and paint them to look like leather. Then sew them together like a puzzle with leather shoelace. For micheal myers see if you can find a mask of mans face. paint the entire mask white and then hot glue some fake hair to it (available for very little from beauty supply stores). You may also want a wig and some gross teeth for leather face. The cheapest trick I know for gross teeth is to cover the actors teeth with chewed bubble gum and the stick peanuts to the gum to look like rotten teeth (I know its cheesy!). Also remeber that Micheal myers has all those scars.

see if you can find a cheap william shatner mask and paint it white like they did in the original halloween...
