severed tongue

I am currently writing a script for a film loosley based on, and inspired by the legend of Rasputin, the mad monk.
It's titled Gedeon the dissolute, unorthodox, canabalistic, sexualy ravenous, serial fornicating, crapulent, mad monk.
It also takes place in modern time, where Gedeon is revived by a group of kids. One of the death scenes however, envolves Gedeon either
1) Pulling out the victims tongue and cutting it off, or
2) Biting the victims tongue off and spitting it back at him while holding his mouth shut as the victim chokes on his own blood.

I was wondering if you could help me come up with a way to creating each of the two different effects. Thank you...

hmmmm....interesting..i always wanted to do a story over rasputin..or based on him...so im anxious to see this..alot of this would entitle good cut aways and sound effects, more then visuals...lemme think about how ya can pull off the tongue visual...there's gotta eb a simple way to do this.....

ok so i'm pretty far in the script and what happens is there is a movie nerd who has seen too many dracula movies, he bust out a crucifix to ward of THE MAD MONK but he simply laughs, steals the crucifix, tells the kid he has heard too much and shall speak no evil, and cuts the kids tongue off with the cross... how can this be done?

p.s. this movie is for practising gore, so i don't want to deal with camera tricks, shadowing, symbolism, whatever... but if it comes down to it, thats ok! ;D

you could try cutting a pink kitchen spounge to shape, or maybe try making a mold of a tongue shape and make jello with not enough water, maybe add some flour to make it opaque. or if your actors tough get a tongue from a butcher...

try using part of a cows tongue which you can buy from any butcher beleive me it really works
