Zombie

Hello, I am making a Zombie film, i want to have many upclose zombie shoulder/neck shots , i was thinking of maybe, applying a red-base makeup where the bite will be located the covering that with a thin-but wide layer of liquid latex, then having the Actor playing the zombie bite off that thin layer of latex, creating that stretch effect, and as they bite release fake blood being held in their mouth to slowy drip out on to the victim. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Keep in mind i want to be fairly close with thes bites
