Hi all,
Anyone have any tips on how to make edible fake intestines?
The intent is to have one of my zombies chowing down on them, and I was wondeirng if there is a recipie or site that could point me in the right direction?

You need to find clear sausage casings. They sell them at some grocery stores and Butcher shops should have them. I bought them at wal-Mart in their Hunting supply section for under $5. Follow the instructions for rehydrating them and fill them with red jello. Pour it in while it is still liquid, toss em in the fridge and let them set. Caerfully cover them in blood and you got some edible guts!

what about for vegetarians? The clear casings are made of a thin edible plastic.They are a little harder to find, but they should sell them at specailty grocery stores, if not online, just google it. The one's you will find in the hunting section are most likely going to be made of Pig intestines, so if you are a vegatarian, be sure to read the label carefully. UPDATE! The sauasage casings found in the hunting section are made of pig guts! Be forewarned, they are not edible raw! They also stink so bad you may vomit! But if you rinse em off, tie off one end, insert a straw and inflate them like balloons they look great! |
