Hi, I am trying to teach myself how to work in premiere...so far I definitely think I have the hang of it. I'm almost finished with my opening credits sequence. My one last question comes into play for the end of the sequence where the title of the movie "Stranded" shows up... Now what it does is Starts out blurry and at 0% opacity and has like a 200 scale, now slowly but surely it goes from being stretched out to it's normal scale, making it look like it's shrinking to fit on frame. at the same time it shrinks, the opacity of it increases so it looks more and more solid...it also starts out blurry and the smaller it gets the more sharp it becomes....the title finally gets center frame and at full opacity and sharpness, it sits there for a second or two...and then as the music fades out it dissolves....hopefully your following me. even if you aren't, you can answer my question. For the few moment's it's sitting still in the center of the frame...and before it dissolves out.... I want the text to flicker, it's a black background. but like, you'll here a little static noise...and at that point, I want the title to flicker a big, and then come back to normal before dissolving out...is there any way I can do this in premiere? or is there a program I can get that will help me do it? if you know, I'd appreciate it, thank you.

I would suggest doing each frame of the title in Photshop and then throwing it back into premiere in the proper order.

The photoshop method is definitely the easiest 'cheap' way to do it.
If you can afford it, and you have a lot of similar effects to do, then I highly recommend getting hold of After Effects to do this kind of work. It's also extremely useful for grading and other 'invisible' work such as sky replacements etc.

I can't figure the d**n program out either, so don't feel bad! Just look up some tutorials for it, they're out there, you just need to find the right one. If all else fails, just go with the photoshop method.

Break down the title sequence into frames. Each tiny bit the title moves or becomes more or less transparent is a frame. Take the title, alter it slightly and save it as a seperate picture, thats a frame. Continue doing this for every move you want the title to make and then put them back into the editor in sequence and add sound fx. Think of the title as a flip book or cartoon.
