hi there I was just wondering, I'm trying to start a Halloween Fan Film and I have a few different versions of the same knife, one has the tip off so it looks as if to be in someone's body, one is just the normal knife, and the third, I would like to right it so that on one side of the blade(which the camera will not see) is maybe some tubing that lead to a blood packet on the handle, so the killer can mainly slash a neck, and then squeeze the blood packet as he slides the blade across the throat, and the tubing goes all the way to the tip of the knife, and it'll leave a nice blood trail, I saw a picture of the knife they used in H20 for this effect www.premiereprops.com/images/images_big/product_mmx_hwn2008_a.jpgwould anyone be able to tell me where to get materials and how I'd be able to create a similar "contraption" . thanks

You can do the same thing very easily.
First you need the knife, grind down the edge so it is completely dull! That is the most important thing, dull it out completely, or you may hurt the actor.
Then get some fish aqaurium tubing from your local pet shop and glue it to the edge of the knife that the camera won't see. At your local hardware store, find a small rubber bulb like the one in the picture, if you can't one you cn use a small water squirting toy, just be sure the actor with the knife can hide it in his palm. Attatch the tubing to the pump and fill it with blood, as the actor drags the knife across the neck, squeeze the pump and viola!
If you want lots of blood, forget the rubber bulb and attacth the tubing to a garden sprayer filled with blood, hide the tubing the actors sleeve and when he drags the knife let loose! Very mssy and very effective!

That would work as well, the only problem is that it wouldn't hold much blood.
