I was wondering if anyone could help me with a suggestion on how to make this effect work. I need to have a throat slit gag but the only cost effective way Ive come up with is making a flat piece of liquid latex dried on a mirror and then put a slit in it. I would then conceal the blood tubing underneath that connected to a pump. The problem I am having is 2-fold....I need a good make-up that will conceal and blend in the appliance and still look good. I would have loved to cast an actual latex appliance but the budget is $0 and just impossible to do. Thanks.......

The flat latex bit will work, just use some cheap halloween make-up to conceal the edges, and blend them down with cotton balls or toilet paper and latex. You can sculpt apiece for relavtivly no money.
Sculpt it out of modeling clay, put it in a shoebox and pour plaster of paris into it, let it dry and you've got a mold. Paint in the latex, and there you go! Plaster can be bought at Wal-Mart for under $5, and clay is probably under $2.
