They are talking about a possible 5th Alien movie (not including AVP) James Cameron will be writing the screenplay... Rumor of Ridley Scott possibly directing??

Bloody Hell... They need to make predator 3 & 4 first. That's rediculous. And James Cameron?! He already ruined Aliens by taking the helmet off of them. See, no one liked that but him. It ay look cool on the figures, but in action it makes them look too rubbery. Also, he introduced the queen too early. See, 3 should have been the queen episode equivlent to Ressurection, then 4 should have been the whole prison w/ dog hybrid. Great series, but I always liked predator better. Predator rules!

What?! Predator 2 was freakin' awesome! If it weren't for Arnold, Bill Duke, and Jesse Ventura, I would have liked that movie better!
(Hmmm... Whenever I bring up preddy 2, a lot of people have like completely different views on it... Just like Alien 3. I guess that means they're doing something right in that director's chair, no?)

i liked P2 but it was weird seeing a fat old man fight a predator.... but i guessed it seemed a little more realistic that a normal cop is protecting his town as appossed to mr. universe avenging his fellow soldiers

James Cameron took the dome off the alien skull because they kept breaking during the action sequences. I love Predator but the Aliens are just so much cooler looking. You cant beat a jet black exo-skelaton and two sets of steel jaws. I think it'd be cool for an Alien earth invasion, like the original plan for A3, but it'd probably be too much like Aliens. I'd still see it though.

Eh, in the alien design thing they had on the dvd said that "when building the alien, Cameron saw right before the put the helmet on, and decided it looked better without it" I dunno where you heard the other one...
And, it's going to be lame, you know it. this is filmaking summed up:
before: Had the story that was awesome, awesome directing, awesome plot. But bad effects.
now: Lame trying-to-be-different-directing-techniques, alright story, lame plot, but awesome effects. But not graphical effects, the cg's need MUCH improvement, still.

What are you talking about eva02 The Queen wasn't introduced until the third act of the movie, how could it possibly have been introduced any later? You mean leave it out of the movie altogether??? The whole point of Aliens was to evolve the mythology, what kind of movie would it have been without the Queen sequences? If it wasn't for Aliens, there wouldn't have been any Alien3 or Ressurection. Don't forget that Aliens came out years after the original, Alien was an old movie by that time, nobody expected its sequel to take off like it did. As for the helmet, in most productions the director has final say, so if he decided it looked better without the helmet... there you go. Pretty much the same as Fincher changing his mind about the Ox and changing to a Dog. It certainly wasn't done for the figures. There were no Aliens figures. It was an 18 certificate, nobody made toys for an 18 certificate movie back in the eighties, that kind of adult marketing came later.

Wait.... What??? You're confusing yourself, there. Have you bought and seen the new Quadrilogy Alien Release? It has a little thing on Aliens monster design. Watch that, and you will uderstand what I'm talking about, since you don't seem to understand just by what's up here up front.
And hey, ho there, I'm just voicing my opinions about that since there was only 1 alien in Alien, they should have done another Alien with just more aliens, then next sequal introduce the queen and then the hybrids. I'm just saying that there should have been a movie between 1 and 2.

I actually heard rumour a long time ago about an alien 5 and 6, 5 was going to cover the navigators coming to earth etc etc, i forget now what they said exactly.
And whats this talk of aliens and helmets? i really dont understand what you mean by that...
If they make a 5th and 6th i hope they dont have a disaster like they did with alien 3, personally i think if it hadnt gone through 3 directors and kept the original idea of it being set in a monestary with monks it would have kicked ass, and lets not even get started with resurection although i did get a cool free tshirt with the dvd.

The "helmet" is the transparent cover that fits across the creatures head in the first movie. In 'aliens' it was missing, so you could see the ridges and detail on the heads.
I actually hope that there won't ever be another Alien movie, the franchise is all but wrung out now, especially with the way the A4 really, really blew chunks.
