I am new a scoring for movies, and would like to know if anyone has ever used productiontrax.com and made a few dollars on it. I am seriously considering using it. Also, are they legitimate, or do they try to rip you off with their proceedures? Thanks

hi....in all honesty I think Productiontrax has rapidly become what mp3.com once was....its great for posting sound design or sound effects then cross promoting it on a different sound effect site....that doesnt mean people dont have success with music though ...i would try www.versusmedia.com .....underground and independent.... plus you are sure to get leads on indie's of all scopes looking for music and or composers....you can always approach film or television music libraries and there are tons of them out there....just send them a email and ask them if they are accepting submissions at this time then fire away....a great resource if you dont have any major credits is the film music network... www.filmmusic.net they always have new stuff looking for tracks (costs like 11.00 per month) .plus there is a free database on the site of libraries and the like you can email and ask if they are looking for material presently..then if you succeed in getting a credit in a production you can join a site whom only accepts those with a film credit....this way they are assured you are a professional for even more lucrative leads......
