I live in Kentucky and I have worked on a few digital films already and know by experience how difficult it can be to get onscreen talent (especially when the pay ain't there). What is the best way to go about finding actors and actresses and put out the word that you are looking for local help? thanks, I'm planning on starting my own project soon and this site will help me out a great deal. - John

One of the best places to start is a local college. Get in touch with it's theater groups if it has any and you should be able to find most everything you need in the way of talent. Of course friends and family are a good place to start too. One nice nice about college students is that most are willing to work for experience, credit, copy and meals.

Check out my previous post on this board under the category - DIRECTING. The thread is "Talent Agencies." It might prove useful to you.

As I said in an email that I sent you, I also live in Kentucky and know a few local actors. You can contact me at tourniquet_films@yahoo.com and I will put you in touch with the ones who fit what you need. Best Regards, Randy Robinson www.geocities.com/tourniquet_films
