I'm looking for a FREE but yet good software I can safely download off the net...if anybody knows anything, please let me know......

There are lots of screenwriting packages out there, but it is worth remembering that all you really need is a sheet of paper and a pencil to write something.

If you want to do it on you PC, simply use 'word' or 'wordpad' or whatever word-processing package came with your computer.

Screewriting software is not needed in order to write a screenplay.

I guess if he was a bit less lazy and had actually tried searching for himself, he wouldn't have needed to post here.

My original point was that many people think it is necessary to have 'screenwriting' packages before they can write a script. This is obviously untrue, and in my opinion, many of the packages out there can actually hinder your writing, rather than help it.

I use an awesome little freebie called "RoughDraft" that is very simple to use for your formatting - especially if you are just starting out. It has a "screenplay mode" that formats everythign with your Tab key.
