I have an idea. Several teenagers go out into the woods planning a hilarious alcohol week-end. Yet when they arrive at the decrepit log cabin things start to go wrong. With the discovery of some icon/book, etc. the dead rise and mayhem ensues.
Oh wait. That's the plot for every zombie movie ever...

maybe the teens could find the sphinx in the woods? lol, but on a serious note, how could that idea be done on a low budget? i dont mean to sound harsh, but it sounds like it needs to be shot on location in egypt for it to have any credibility.

You could have a painted Egyptian back-drop. Vintage.

Low budget horror my arse. They're aint no one on here that has a big enough budget for that mofo. I'll give it a go, however, if you give me $2,000000. My last movie was made on a budget of £5. And it was amazing! I'm not even joking! ask crunchy dave.

Isn't it a bit too close to "stargate"? Why not substitute the Mayans for the Egyptians, set it in the jungle instead... Still not low-budget though.
