Similar to the highly-acclaimed remake of "Romeo & Juliet," JTR Productions is embarking into the Shakespearean filmmaking world with a modern-day re-creation of "Macbeth."
In place of kindgoms and such, we have gangs and mobsters running the show. Macbeth, a lowly bookie for a crime Syndicate (led by Duncan), aspires to, one day, becoming the Big Cheese. The Boss. The head honcho. And he'll do anything to get there.
For those of you that have read the play, I doubt I have to explain much further.
In the next 2-3 weeks, I'm getting a cast/crew of about 10 people together, and we're going to take the Rodriguez "Sin City" approach, and write, shoot, and edit ONE scene to utter perfection. That will be released on the Net, along with a teaser trailer for the film, and the hype and feedback from that will give us a Yay or Nay on going forward with this project.
I look forward to sharing the details with you all. Good bye for now.
