Lovers

From my own shoe-string production company (Three Quarters of Hell) I am in the pre-production stage of a film short that I hope to finish in time for the horror festivals this year. It's a vampire story called Lovers which I wrote a couple years ago. I'm in the process of rewritting it and I have an artist who is going to be working on the concept art and storyboards. Shooting should begin sometime this spring, I can only hope anyway, this isn't the first time I've tried to get something off the ground only to crash and burn. But maybe this year will be different.

Well I've just finished the fourth draft of the script. the finished product should be only about fifteen minutes. I'm looking into sending "Lovers" to the LA Screamfest, the New York Horror Film Festival and the Shriekfest among a few others that I'm still looking into. Most of the characters have been cast and a few songs from the Hungry Ghost are going to be used and possibly a score that I'm checking out right now. Today I made a contact by a local special make up/creature fx artist that has shown alot of interest in this project. His wife is actually the artist but he has the know how for squibs and has already appeared in 2 mexican straight to video action movies. He's a huge guy with tattoos up and down his arms, someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark ally. He's not going to be acting in this movie but I'm most likely going to give him a producing credit. Anyway, that's all for now, more as it comes. ;D

After re-writing the script it's become a 10 minute horror film to a 20-30 minute horror/action film. The vision has completely changed but I think it's better, more entertaining. The score has been completed and I've got a hair stylist/cosmetic artist on the project. All that needs to be done now is to raise the money. If anyone wants to read the script let me know because I could always use a third person perspective.
