Seeking entries for a short film fest taking place October 25th in Victoria, BC, Canada. Entries must center around at least one member of the living dead including but not limited to zombies, ghouls, mummies, and so on. Vampires are a stretch but may be accepted if time allows.
We have a three hour slot of time to fill so no features. Short films only, maximum 15 minutes in length. Preference will be given to locally-made productions. No level of quality is too low, and there is NO ENTRY FEE! This is a non-competitive event, meant to celebrate underground horror filmmaking. However, there may be an "audience favorite" prize.
The venue is Lucky Bar and as such keep in mind the crowd may be a rowdy one. Should filmmakers wish to travel to attend the event all lodgings and means of transport must be arranged by them (as I have no time to help!). Bring copies of your film to sell!
Entries can be submitted on VHS or DVD. No film reels please. They must be received at the latest by the 20th of October.
I will not be participating in Zombiefest in any capacity other than as an organizer. I'm trying to make sure all proceeds (after advertising costs have been made back) go back to the filmmakers too.
