Call for Entry Information
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ICFLM Film Festival is accepting submissions from film makers and screenwriters in the following categories and genres:
Horror (Feature Length Films - Shorts - Screenplays)
Science Fiction (Feature Length Films - Shorts - Screenplays)
Fantasy / Surreal (Feature Length Films - Shorts - Screenplays)
Genre Descriptions:
Horror: Horror submissions must be founded in the horror / paranormal genres and provide at least a reasonable amount of fright, suspense, gore, monsters (e.g. zombies, vampires, etc…), paranormal activities (e.g. possession, poltergeists, etc…). A violent action type film would not qualify under this category. Please submit only films that you are sure fit into the horror genre.
Science Fiction: Entries for this genre should contain futuristic technology, space travel, aliens, alien worlds, time travel, etc…
Fantasy / Surreal: Entries in the fantasy category are rather subjective in that there are many things that could be considered fantasy. For the purposes of this event, the submissions should involve either classic fantasy (e.g. barbarians, wizards, dragons, etc…) or surrealistic fantasy (e.g. Twighlight Zone type of stories). Paranormal stories that involve ghosts and other paranormal events that do not fall under the horror genre may fall under this category.
If you have any questions about which category your film or screenplay should be entered under, please feel free to contact the festival organizers through the contact link above and ask any questions you may have.
Awards:
An award of $250 will be given to the winning entry in each of the genre categories as well as for the best original script.
The films and screenplays will be judged before the festival by the judging committee and the awards will be announced at the festival itself.
Winners who are not in attendance at the festival will be notified shortly after the completion of the event. In addition, the winner for best script will have their script shown to producers.
