"Set in a small Mississippi town and filled with southern characters that are immediately recognizable, SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET is a contemporary allegory by a new writer/director team, Polecat and Kebiana. In this suspense-filled horror, set to a score of original delta blues laments, Roger Bankman comes home on a law school break to find his whole town is being butchered by a dark force which claims its victims from their closets. When the murders hit close to home, Roger rallies his friends to investigate, hoping to solve the mystery. Instead they find that in the sleepy southern town of Redwater, everyone has a few “skeletons in the closet.” The body count grows higher and higher with every lie that is told." IndiePix.net
First time director Polecat presents us with a horror/suspense supernatural thriller with retribution in mind. Roger Bankman comes home from college to find his father dead and more bodies to follow. He enlists a group of friends to solve the mystery of what is happening. When he finds what has cause all the killing he tries to warn the authorities but is it too late?
While rough in the edges Skeletons in the Closet has a promising storyline related to literarly the title of the movie. And for a low budget film this movie features a large cast of characters most of which ended up dead. While the gore and creepiness was intense there was also some flaws that i need to point out as well. The movie first of all seem to jump frame to frame rather rapidly. Also the lighting and color seem to be a bit off especially outdoor shots. Daytime footage seem too bright while night shots ended up very grainy. That being said for the most part Skeletons in the Closet was enjoyable experience worth taking a look at.
For that i give this film a 3 out of 5
