Story - Anti-Horror is a motion picture that takes the viewer behind the scenes for the making of a horror movie where the screams off the set are far more real than the screams on the screen.
The picture chronicles the third attempt at filmmaking for director Gregory Kane and he is determined to do anything to complete the project. Gregory and his small troupe of actors take a perilous journey to a secluded location known as Ravens Hollow, which is haunted with legends of cannibalism and historically gruesome murders.
The production slips out of control when the participants are lured away from the gruesome script and find themselves in the middle of a massacre of their own.
Positive: When viewing Anti-horror i didnt expect much but by the end of it i became a fan of director Donald Benjamin. He presents an amazing visually feast with almost artistic black and white shots to vivid color imagery and the actors all put out there best performances. The story is weird, sick, and twisted but even hollywood seems to be moving toward darker horror films.(Hostel, Saw, etc)
Negative: Anti-Horror plot has been done before in many other horror films. And a film of this kind is not going to appeal to everyone. Its definately out there even for a horror movie.
Conclusion: Every true horror fan should check out this film as it offers something different than your average low budget film.
4 out of 5.
