Story - Five young adults are about to find themselves in a fight for their lives pitted against evil itself! While on vacation in a foreign city, one of them makes a seemingly innocent albeit ignorant mistake and soon everyone will realize the cost of such an inconsequential action. A Strange appears to help them, but
Is this too little, too late?
Positive - First thing that comes to mind after seeing this film is the comparisons to Hostel which is not a bad thing. I enjoyed Hostel very much. But Live Feed holds in own against recent horror films such Hostel and Saw. It can be said that Live Feed surpasses those Hollywood horror films by offer up more gore, sex, and sick sick scenes such as when there were at the meat market and the butcher offer up a dog for the chopping block. It was quite a gruesome scene even if the actually chopping was left off screen (Wouldn’t want PETA seeing this:)
Negative - Not everything was gravy though. The film did have its limitations. First off the budget. It was pretty obvious that some of the gore didn’t have the same effect with the limited special effects. Although it never got to the point of cheesy like other low budget films. The acting was pretty good for the most part with exception of Stephen Chang (The Triad Boss) who was bit over exaggerated in his performance for my liking.
Conclusion - Live Feed is a mix of overtop imagery, violence, and lots of nudity. Most of the imagery was explicit and extreme and one can say this film definataetly earned its unrated rating. If you’re into extreme movies with torture, nudity, violence, and a bit of Asian mystic to it check out Live Feed.
