I'm a young screenwriter trying to get his start in film and one of my particular areas of interest is horror. Now, my style of horror is a bit different than most, given I like to juxtopose the humorous and the absurd with the sadistic and the visceral. My sources of inspiration range from John Carpenter to Lucio Fulci ot Takeshi Kitano. As far as my story structure, I like to take the audience for a ride and do the complete polar opposite of the expected at every turn. I believe low-buget horror can be just as good (if not better) than any given summer film. While I am an undergraduate at George Washington University, I make time to do the things I love and one of the things on the top of that list is horror. I write fast, I write hard, and I pull no punches. I've copyrighted two screenplays and am currently in the process of writing/filming a third, all of which have a distinctly genre bent. Also, I'm a professional storyboard artist, having worked on Wyclef Jean's "The Industry" (www.wyclef.com) and The Spark's "Fifty Ways." This experience not only hones my sense of mis-en-scene, but also has taught me to stick to budget. Need someone whose fast, quirky, edgy, and knows how to go for the kill, contact me with an idea and we'll see what happens.
