I can't get anyone that is really excited to do anything, it is so dead here. I ask people if they are interested in making a movie and they're response is " I guess". I wish there were more people that shared my passion for this nearby.

Hey, I feel the same way. It’s frustrating. I live in Puerto Rico and people just don’t have that type of interest here. Met someone on the forum that was from Puerto Rico and was asking for information on anyone that would like to help him with his horror movie. I posted that I was interested and he send me an email asking me what my “experience” was and that was it. Never received another email. (Hey, my experience in filmmaking isn’t that bad. I told him that I have worked with several short film and had experience with digital and 16mm film cameras and editing equipment, among other things. Don’t know what scared him away! hahaha) Oh well, too bad I live so far away from Philly…  |

I did volunteer work for a local director with years of experience in television and such and we got a few actors but virtually no crew at all. I dragged a friend into doing this and it was just me, him the director and a camera guy who was close friends with the director. It was a great learning experience, meet new people, hang out at some cool sites, had a great deal of fun! Can't believe no one was up for this!
