Logline: A former F.B.I. profiler teaching at a small college has his life turned upside down when several murders occur on and off campus.
I just spent a couple of days doing some re-writes, changing a couple scenes and improving the dialogue. It comes out to 92 pages(pdf format/Movie Magic software). Rated "R" for strong language and violence. I would be willing to accept deferred payment. Drop me a line(PM) if you'd like to check it out.

Here's a more detailed synopsis...
Dan Harkins is a former FBI profiler teaching at Carsdale College, where his wife is also an English professor. In addition to teaching summer classes, Dan is struggling with his first novel, a murder mystery set in a small town. His wife, who teaches creative writing, encourages him to stay in the game. But it becomes a minor issue when a bizarre murder at a local drive-in stuns the college and puts the entire community on edge.
Dan and his students discuss various theories regarding the murder, and a second killing at an off-campus bar leads some to suspect a serial killer is operating in Carsdale. Glenn, one of Dan's brightest students, begins his own, somewhat amateurish investigation into the murders, and Dan gradually begins to view even his own students as potential suspects. Eric Johnston is one of them; he is an avid hunter who happens to works in the office of campus security. When a third murder occurs outside a frat house, one of Dan's students is picked up near the crime scene by Joe Harris, head of campus security. No evidence connects the student to the crime, however, and the trail goes cold again.
Dan chooses not to take an active role in the murder investigation, deferring instead to the local police. But when one of Dan's students turns up missing, the police take an active interest in the former profiler as a suspect. He is also forced to hand over a copy of his unfinished manuscript to the lead detective on the case, Patrick Meyers.
After an art professor turns up dead on campus, Dan gets the shock of his life when he is arrested in front of his students. The authorities claim to have evidence linking him to the missing student, but Glenn and another student, Jenny, decide to keep investigating the case. During their sleuthing, they make a shocking discovery that literally leads them to the front door of the killer, someone who has been hiding in plain sight the entire time.
