All I can say is that I am very and I do Mean VERY nervous about what this might become.......................Does Anyone else Fear that we might be seeing a string of horrible sequels following this one?  ?? |

Unfortunately The remake of Evil Dead is just an attempt at making money. There's no heart in this project. We can only hope that SAM pulls for a new hungry Director that will make something excellent.
If it were me - I'd work a little bit more with the H.P.Lovecraft stuff. It's in the movie, but not explored to it's full extant.

After just only a few years shy of the original, there really isn't a need for a remake. True Horror fans who were born during the time when Evil Dead made its debut, are just buying or renting the original. I agree, I think that it's a money issue, which is bad, because they are aiming towards mainstream hollywood. This means that it won't be scary or gory which adds to great disappointment for Evil Dead Fans.

I hate to say it, but...why don't raimi and campbell just make ED4? I know there is a lot of other stuff involved, but in a perfect world, we would see raimi go back to his low-budget roots and make a self-financed ED4. That would be neato.

Rob Zombie is directing?!? Dear god, we may have another Devil's Rejects on our hands. I would much rather they make a 4th film and not try to remake the original. Dawn of The Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre were devastating enough, but Evil Dead?!?
