I'm very interested in purchasing this camcorder.
Does anyone own one or shot a short film on one? If so how is it? I want to know about other peoples experiences with it.

Looks like a nice machine. I haven't used one, but there is an in-depth review here videosystems.com/mag/video_panasonic_agdvxa/Personally, I'd use the Sony PD150 / PD170, which is around the same price, but perhaps a little more 'pro' oriented. Just my opinion though, I'm sure the tech-heads will disagree  |

It's the first video camera for under $10,000 I though was worth owning. A great camera. 24P mode is what sells it.

Ive shot shorts with it before, and it looks fantastic! I'm currently working on a feature with it. Costs about $3500, now. The Cannon XL-2 is better though.But it's $5000. Also has 24P, 1/48 shutter speed, and this is cool, "film grain"!
