I'm just about to film my first feature, and when I was setting up to prepare for the shoot, I noticed that my MiniDV camcorder does not have a headphone jack. I know I need one to hear the sound I'm recording.
Is there anyway to use the USB jack and a set of USB headphones to hear the sound? Is there any other way to do so?
By the way, I'm using a shotgun mic.
Thank you.

What kind of mike are you using? I presume you are running an Xlr into the camera?
If you are shooting a feature, it might be worthwhile buying or renting a decent portable sound-mixer, then you can run a set of headphones from that and get your levels corrected before they run into the camera.
On a side note, if your camera doesn't even have a headphone jack, are you certain it is of sufficient quality to be shooting a feature with?
