Just wondering what kind of camera everyone uses.
At the moment I am going to film a short using a Sony model # DCR-TRV460
It's a digi 8 handycam with touch sceen menu's.
I'd love to get a Sony HDR-FX1 though.

I just picked up a Panosonic 3 CCD miniDV for around $900. I was using a Samsung 1 CCD miniDV. Goddd**n I wish I could afford a Cannon XL2...

For Mini-DV: Panasonic DVX100
HD: Panasonic Varicam, Sony 900 Cine Alta, Sony Z1
Film: Super-8 Bauer 105 and Nikon R10
16mm: Arriflex SR I & II
35mm: Arri 35mm BL 1, 2, 3, 4 and 535

Where did you get some of these cameras from;
Film: Super-8 Bauer 105 and Nikon R10
